After a case of domestic violence turns deadly, Catalina is sent to Los Angeles to live with her mother's family, a family she's never known, where she'll be raised by her mother's strong willed sisters. The brilliance of her aunts is rivaled only by their almost comically confusing tips for their young niece, often in direct contrast with one another, that Catalina must sort through in order to make sense of her new life as an Angeleno.
